Classroom Tall Tote
By Quilter by Night Designs. This tote is tall and wide and was specifically designed to accommodate a large throw and an extra sweatshirt for a day at the beach or an outing to the park. It’s also the perfect size for hauling a bunch of binders and folders, so it makes a great gift for a favorite teacher!
The wide, uninterrupted middle panel shows off a large-scale or favorite theme print, making this
a great tote for gift-giving. Directions are included for adding ribbon ties or magnetic snap closures, as well as for adjusting the handle length, if necessary.

Materials You'll Need To Make Your Own: Use 42" - 44" wide, 100% cotton fabrics.
- Top Strip and Handles: 1/3 yd
- Middle Strip and Pockets: 1/2 yd
- Bottom Strip: 1/4 yd
- Lining (non-directional): 1/2 yd
- Binding: 1 Fat Quarter (18" x 22")
- Heavyweight Fusible Interfacing (20" wide): 1-1/4 yd
- Fusible Fleece (42" wide) e.g. Pellon® 987F): 3/4 yd
- Notions: 2 yd - 3/8" wide gross grain ribbon in a coordinating color for ties
(optional). 2 magnetic snaps (optional). 1/4" fusible hem tape (optional).
Pattern is in a convenient booklet format and contains complete, accurate, and easy to follow instructions with lots of diagrams and pull-out pattern sheets. Great project for beginners or a make-in-an-evening project for experienced quilters. Experience with rotary cutting, basic piecing and quilting techniques necessary.
